Position Summary The Business Development Representative will play an active role in achieving the organizational mission of Great Minds. Business Development Representatives are an integral part of the Sales Team at Great Minds and are responsible for supporting and driving new business opportunities of Great Minds curricula to K-12 schools and districts. 

This role will be remotely based and support sales efforts on across a broad territory of Western US States including (CA, OR, WA, AZ, NV, CO, NM, ID, MT, UT).

Responsibilities

  • Prospect into accounts via cold call, email, and social strategies (Target audience:  Curriculum Director, Curriculum Coordinator, Coaches, Principals and Superintendents).
  • Virtually present Great Minds curricula to K-12 schools and districts.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the K-12 market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) customers and Account Representatives or Account Solution Managers
  • Create proposals for prospective customers
  • Maintain customer info and records

Requirements

  • This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Marketing or Liberal Arts; or BA with excellent work-related experience.

  • K12 classroom teaching, PD and/or sales experience a plus

  • Working knowledge of sales data systems like Salesforce

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized and able to manage in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
