What you will be doing
As Business Consultant Cloud Solutions, you will join our Cloud Center of Excellence team, a young and fast growing team coping with the growth of the multi-cloud environment (Private – Hybrid – Public) triggered to better support Umicore business units and its operations. This includes the rollout of the different digitalization roadmaps with cutting edge technology. Independent if the solution is bought as a service (SAAS model) or build in our own cloud environment as PAAS/IAAS combination (Microsoft Azure stack or AWS).
Your contribution within this project-delivery team:
* Be partnering with our business units, identifying their needs and guiding them end-to-end in their digital transformation from ideation, business case to projects and successful implementations.
* Take the lead in projects, collaborating actively with our Business Units and IT teams, translating business requirements into technical requirements for our cloud SMEs, fit-for-purpose.
* Make project handshakes including planning’s, budgets and scopes and will be held responsible to follow them up throughout the projects and host steerco meetings
* Be partnering with our corporate digitalization team as well, setting the digital roadmaps and directions.
* Help to guard and guardrail the Umicore cloud landscape
* Identify similar functional fits, overlaps and synergies amongst our different BU’s and steer to converge in a limited and controlled set of solutions.
* Participate in the daily governance related to cloud solutions
* Work closely together with IS security in ensuring a top focus on data security & data confidentiality for all data that is exposed, flows in/out or is stored in cloud solutions.
* Keep up to date with the latest Digital & cloud technologies and the use cases applied
* Participate in specific business adoption and related change handling
* Work closely together with the BI Center of Excellence, implementing business projects in the domain of business intelligence and advanced analytics / artificial intelligence.
* Understand and translate the strategy of our Business Units into an analytical roadmap, link to the architecture and governance standards.
* You will be based in Hoboken, occasional travel to other Umicore sites (national and international) might be needed.

Profil
Who we are looking for
* Master in engineering, information technology or computer science
* Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the domain of IT analytics or cloud solutions
* Proven passionate about Digital technologies and keep up to date with the newest evolutions
* Good overall knowledge of IT infrastructure, platforms and network technologies.
* Good overall knowledge of IT security concepts and able to analyse & apply policies.
* Experience in leading projects and are used to work in a waterfall and Agile context and proven interest in the area of data Management
* Having experience and knowledge on Microsoft Azure (and/or AWS) cloud solutions is an important plus
* Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, and self-sufficient
* Strong business writing and verbal communication skills
* Analytical mind with a problem-solving attitude
* Mature, assertive and dynamic personality, with excellent interpersonal skills
* Interest in and exposure to industrial activities, processes and technology
* Customer oriented, result driven & focused on delivering quality
* Fluent in English and preferably Dutch as well
