After a few weeks of training by experienced colleagues, you will be mainly responsible for:

Working with the billing team, helping them issue invoices to a number of large international clients by :
- Opening and closing client matters in cooperation with the compliance team in London;
- Sending engagement letters to clients if and when needed;
- Collecting billing instructions globally from the lawyers handling the various matters;
- Managing and updating the eBilling system we utilise to invoice the clients, by providing accrual and budget data, matter progress updates, etc;
- Providing monthly budget updates to our clients on select, high-value matters, allowing the client to have a clear view of their spending;
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients for all questions related to billing;
- Managing multiple lines of communication with the client's legal and billing team, ensuring that eBilling operations are correctly actioned for each new work instruction;
- Regularly liaising with the client's accounting team to follow-up on outstanding invoices and resolving any underlying issues with payment; and,
- Collaborating and building strong working relationships with the accounting team and other billing hubs across the firm to pro-actively resolve issues.
- As well as handling some other general support tasks which would only take up little of your time. These are mainly:
- Organizing conference calls, internal/external meetings and occasional business travel, as well as filing the expense claims;
- Formatting and proofreading documents and presentations;
- Adding new contacts to the client contact database; and,
- Carrying out general secretarial tasks.
