WHAT ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES?

• Reports directly to the Chief Operatiions Officer
• Aligns various operational employees involved in the locomotive and wagon process stemming from three departments (COC, Customer Service and Resource Planning)
• Leads and coaches a team of direct reports and functional reports
• Keeps close contact with both supply chain as well as operations in the different countries
• Has daily contact with workshops and clients

YOU:

• Provide, and contribute to the development and implementation of the vision and strategy of the Operational department and make sure that the operational strategy is reflected in the strategy of the Assets Maintenance department
• Define the asset management strategy for both locomotives and wagons: keeping our assets in high-level condition and in line with supply chain needs, focusing on a world class TCO but respecting the internationally accepted maintenance best practices.
• Make sure Lineas is the preferred Entity in Charge of Maintenance for own strategic assets, for other external railway providers in Belgium. In this capacity schedule, decommission, execute maintenance. Beside those operational tasks, keep the maintenance instructions up to date and monitor/analyse damages.
• Organize maintenance on a day-to-day basis according to maintenance plans, asset conditions, customer needs and workshop capacity, striving for world class availability and reliability.
• Conduct diagnosis and repair clients’ assets anywhere on the Belgian Rail Network within 48 hours of an order placed.
• The Asset Management Director will be instrumental in leading asset related innovation programs such as ATO, DAC or and GPS tracking for different purposes (Technical as well as Flow Management
• The AMD will through his/her organization maintain strategic relationships with 3rd party maintenance shops around the network (defined in line with the network needs)

• Perfect trilingual (NL, FR, ENG)
• Operational background and highly focused on process efficiency
• Interested in complex processes and complex organisational context
• Very good knowledge of Asset Maintenance and Reliability practices
• Lean background
• Knowledge about planning and dispatching processes in transport
• Knowledge of CMMS tools
