Job description/Person specification
QinetiQ Space, located in Kruibeke, develops scientific experiments for research in space focused on the International Space Station and other microgravity environments. QinetiQ Space is also active in the development of Satellites and Docking Systems. We wish to strengthen our team with an Assembly, Integration & Verification Manager.
Specific Responsibilities
In this position, you are overall responsible for the assembly, integration and verification of either a satellite or of a docking and berthing system. Not just the logistics, but also the technical interaction.
During phase B, this will be mainly, review of AIV related requirements and ensuring that we have a sound AIV approach/plan. Further in the project, you will manage the assembly, integration and verification approach and ensure that all related activities are properly executed in line with the overall project planning (e.g. timely availability of integration documents, test procedures, test reports, inspection reports etc.). At QAR (qualification acceptance reviews) or FAR (final acceptance review), you will be able to present a consistent VCD (Verification Control Document) to the customer, to ensure that all higher level requirements have been properly covered and successful close-out/acceptance has been reached.
Knowledge, skills and Personal Qualities Required
We expect you to have a master degree in engineering. AIV experience in a space project is an absolute must. We expect you to be highly motivated and passionate about space systems. We expect you to be a pro-active, creative, enthusiastic and result-oriented team player with a broad view. Fluency in English is essential.
