The Accounting Operations team is a growing sub-team within the Accounting department. As part of our team, the AR Staff Accountant will be responsible for speaking directly with merchants and/or customers, work closely with our internal teams to ensure all merchants are invoiced accurately, and customer refunds are processed appropriately. Act as the voice of Affirm and be a point of contact for our merchants and customers
Validate transactions for accuracy and bill our merchants monthly
Work cross functionally with our Customer Ops team in Pittsburgh and process timely refund requests for our customers
Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve merchant and customer issues in a timely and positive manner
Guide merchants through the initial onboarding process
Take an active role in suggesting and implementing process improvements.
What we look for
3 to 5 years of Customer & Merchant experience required, preferably working within a rapidly growing company. Experience with NetSuite and Excel/Google sheets preferred.
You have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate both written and verbally with exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees across the organization
You have excellent time management and organizational skills with aptitude for prioritizing
You are curious and love to find new ways of understanding problems or improving processes
You are adaptable and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can communicate your thinking clearly
