The Accounting Operations team is a growing sub-team within the Accounting department. As part of our team, the AR Staff Accountant will be responsible for speaking directly with merchants and/or customers, work closely with our internal teams to ensure all merchants are invoiced accurately, and customer refunds are processed appropriately. • Act as the voice of Affirm and be a point of contact for our merchants and customers

• Validate transactions for accuracy and bill our merchants monthly

• Work cross functionally with our Customer Ops team in Pittsburgh and process timely refund requests for our customers

• Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve merchant and customer issues in a timely and positive manner

• Guide merchants through the initial onboarding process

• Take an active role in suggesting and implementing process improvements.

What we look for

• 3 to 5 years of Customer & Merchant experience required, preferably working within a rapidly growing company. Experience with NetSuite and Excel/Google sheets preferred.

• You have the ability to clearly and concisely communicate both written and verbally with exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees across the organization

• You have excellent time management and organizational skills with aptitude for prioritizing

• You are curious and love to find new ways of understanding problems or improving processes

• You are adaptable and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can communicate your thinking clearly
