Description de la fonction

The Advisory Services Portfolio is responsible for the commercial development and operational follow-up of TUC RAIL's international engineering projects as well as for offering specialised consultancy services and products in IT and infrastructure to players in the rail industry.   

For this Portfolio, we are looking for an Account Manager (M/F/X). 

Job description

Purpose of the function: be responsible for the sales and commercial/contractual follow-up of engineering services (such as project management, study, site management and supervision, and consultancy) as well as derived products (e.g. specific tools) to a specific group of international clients active in the railway sector within a given region in order to consolidate TUC RAIL's market share.

What will you do?

  • You will maintain and further develop the existing commercial contacts with clients already in the client portfolio within existing markets
  • Within the existing markets, you will identify new prospects (infrastructure managers, contractors, engineering firms, etc.) and contact them to further expand the client portfolio
  • You will prepare tenders in consultation with the management:
  1. You will discuss with the Portfolio Manager Advisory Services the commercial strategy to  follow as well as the contractual and financial conditions that can be included in the tenders      
  2. You will prepare the prequalification and tender files in collaboration with the appointed Bid Managers and Bid Team members from TUC RAIL's Technical Competence Centers         
  3. You will submit and present tenders to clients and partners
  • You will conclude contracts with clients:
  1. You will defend the offer to partners and clients. You will negotiate the terms within the framework of your assigned mandate          
  2. You will draft contracts in collaboration with the legal and technical departments of TUC RAIL and Infrabel
  • You will commercially follow up projects in progress:
  1. You will draw up and manage the project's budget in consultation with the Program Manager who is in charge of the operational technical management of the project          
  2. You will monitor the execution of the project, paying attention to the contractual deadlines, the quality of the service provided and the financial profitability
  • You will represent TUC RAIL outside the organisation and towards clients
  • You will promote and encourage continuous development and improvement of the service and sales processes and tools.

Profil

  • Master's degree in technical or economic sciences with a strong affinity for technology
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a commercial context with extensive knowledge of sales techniques
  • Experience in the rail industry is a plus
  • A very good command of German and English is a must
  • Knowledge of 1 of the 2 national languages (French or Dutch) is a plus
  • Standard knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent editorial skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player who can work in a versatile commercial team on different aspects
  • Willing to go abroad on a regular basis for commercial (e.g. prospecting, presentation of offers to clients, ...) and operational contacts (e.g. project meetings, change request negotiations, ...).
